Owensboro Health joins University of Kentucky cancer research network

Owensboro (Ky.) Health became the seventh hospital to join the Lexington-based University of Kentucky Markey Cancer Center Research Network.

By joining the network, Owensboro Health patients in western Kentucky and southern Indiana will have access to innovative clinical research studies.

University of Kentucky officials said Owensboro Health was invited to participate in the network based on its performance and achievements.

Other hospitals belonging to the network include Elizabethtown, Ky.-based Hardin Memorial Hospital and King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Ky., among others.
