Ochsner now has two locations — Diamondhead Urgent Care and Ochsner Health Center – Port Bienville that provide urgent care services in the area, according to the report. The health system also acquired the former Hancock Medical Center in Bay St. Louis, now Ochsner Medical Center – Hancock.
The $3 million acquisition connects patients in Diamondhead to the Ochsner Health network.
Diamondhead Urgent Care will provide urgent care services, including after hours and on weekends. Existing staff and physicians will continue to operate at the facility. More staff will be hired as patient volumes increase.
