UHS to Operate North Carolina’s Beaufort County Medical Center

The Board of Trustees at Beaufort (N.C.) County Medical Center has voted to allow United Health Systems of Eastern Carolina to manage the day-to-day operations of the ailing hospital, according to a report by the Washington (N.C.) Daily News.

UHS will manage the hospital until it selects another operator or system for a merger, according to a report. Beaufort announced in late April it would seek an affiliation with a larger organization.
