Angel Medical Center in Franklin, N.C., will now be managed by Asheville, N.C.-based Mission Health, according to a Mission news release.
A Smoky Mountain News report says the arrangement is likely to be temporary as the two entities move towards a full merger. Angel CEO Tim Hubbs compared the management deal to an “engagement” preceding marriage.
