Through the program, the community hospitals will have access to the University’s physicians, protocols and resources, including continuing education opportunities. The hospital’s patients will also receive transfer benefits at Shands at UF, the system’s academic medical center.
The alliance also includes Seven Rivers Regional Medical Center in Crystal River, Fla., and Heart of Florida Regional Medical Center in Davenport, Fla.
