MedCath Sells Coastal Carolina Heart to New Hanover Regional Medical Center

MedCath has sold its ownership interest and management agreement in Coastal Carolina Heart to New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, N.C., according to a MedCath news release.

MedCath received $5 million for its 9.2 percent ownership interest and management agreement in Coastal Carolina Heart and will receive its pro rata share of the additional funds from the liquidation of the venture’s working capital.

Coastal Carolina Heart provides certain catheterization laboratory management services to NHRMC.
