Under the terms of the agreement, MultiCare will acquire 14 Immediate Clinic locations in the Puget Sound region.
Officials from both institutions began discussions regarding the potential acquisition in September.
“We believe that urgent care services are an important and necessary part of our healthcare continuum,” said Bill Robertson, president and CEO of MultiCare Health System. “MultiCare is dedicated to expanding access to these healthcare access points through a growing network of locations in King, Pierce, Thurston, Snohomish and Kitsap counties.”
“We are very proud of what our Immediate Clinic team has created, which is one of the largest and most respected urgent care platforms in the Seattle area,” said Michael Dalton, president and CEO of Immediate Clinic. “We are excited to pass the torch to MultiCare and are confident that they will be able to combine their resources with our amazing team of leaders and caregivers to make these state-of-the-art urgent care clinics even better.”
