Under the agreement, MidMichigan Health will become the hospital’s exclusive partner.
West Branch Regional Medical Center began searching for an affiliate in 2011. Hospital officials selected MidMichigan Health after examining several factors, including potential improved access to resources, support for physician recruitment and retention and maintenance of the hospital’s local and systemwide governance.
Officials from both institutions said they will continue to review the details of the affiliation during the coming months.
The financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.
