In December, Bronson announced it planned to acquire a 51 percent stake in Battle Creek. Bronson had previously discussed partnering with WMU and Borgess to develop a medical school in Kalamazoo, and Battle Creek is now joining the discussion, evaluating whether it could play a possible role in the new school, according to the report.
If the plans move forward, Battle Creek physicians would be able to hold teaching and research roles at the new school.
