Staff at Methodist LeBonheur Healthcare will now be able to access information and tools provided by Rochester, Minn.-based Mayo Clinic physicians, including eConsults, AskMayoExpert and eTumor Board Conferences.
Methodist Healthcare is the 34th system to join the Care Network and the first system in the state of Tennessee.
The collaboration will unfold over a number of “one-year evergreen renewable subscriptions,” according to David Hayes, medical director of the Mayo Clinic Care Network. He added that the Care Network hopes to have a long-term relationship with Methodist Healthcare.
“Our commitment is to make sure we provide top-notch care in the community,” said Michael Ugwueke, president and COO of Methodist. “People want to stay close to home, and anything we can do to support that, we’ll do.”
