Massena Memorial Hospital CEO Robert Wolleben previously said the board would discuss the issue at the board meeting Feb. 21 and potentially reach a decision.
Officials narrowed down the list of interested parties from 17 health systems to two in December. Mr. Wolleben previously revealed to the Watertown Daily Times, “one health system is [located] on the western part of the state and one is on the eastern part of the state.”
Officials must select an affiliate as part of the hospital’s quest to become a nonprofit facility. The hospital began considering potential partners in July 2016.
