Massachusetts’ Cooley Dickinson Hospital to Partner With Larger Hospital

Cooley Dickinson Hospital in Northampton, Mass., is exploring a partnership with a larger hospital in order to reduce costs, according to a report by The Republican.

Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, Mass., General Hospital in Boston and University of Massachusetts Medical Center in Worcester, Mass., have all been identified as potential candidates.

Cooley Dickinson hopes an affiliation would reduce its expenses. The hospital estimated restructuring debt after an affiliation could save $1.5 million a year, according to the report.
