The collaboration takes effect Jan. 1, the organizations said Dec. 19. It is planned to develop over two phases, with the first aimed at complementing pediatric services in Baton Rouge and surrounding areas.
Children’s Hospital New Orleans will take the daily operational reins for Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Health. Committees including board, physician and other leaders from both organizations will lead the partnership’s co-managed approach.
Phase two will see the organizations work toward creating a statewide children’s specialty care network. Timetables for each phase were not disclosed.
