Littleton (N.H.) Regional Healthcare is leaving North Country Healthcare, a regional health consortium, due to divergent goals, according to the New Hampshire Union Leader.

North Country Healthcare was formed in 2015 and includes Colebrook, N.H.-based Upper Connecticut Valley Hospital; Berlin, N.H.-based Androscoggin Valley Hospital; Lancaster, N.H.-based Weeks Medical Center; and North Country Home Health and Hospice. The affiliation has worked to standardize initiatives, including quality services, risk management and revenue cycle services at participating facilities.

Robert Nutter, president of Littleton Regional, said “that because of our different strategies and distinctive communities served, these goals can be best achieved independently.”

According to the affiliation agreement, April 1 is the first date an affiliate can withdraw, followed by an additional four-month review to negotiate a final settlement.
