LifePoint sells 3 Louisiana hospitals

Brentwood, Tenn.-based LifePoint Health has completed the sale of three Louisiana hospitals to Allegiance Health Management in Shreveport, La.

Under the deal, LifePoint sold the following hospitals to AHM: Mercy Regional Medical Center in Ville Platte, La.; Acadian Medical Center in Eunice, La.; and Minden (La.) Medical Center.

As part of AHM, the three hospitals will have more opportunities for regional collaboration, as AHM owns several hospitals in Louisiana and surrounding states.

With the transaction complete, LifePoint operates one hospital in Louisiana: Teche Regional Medical Center in Morgan City.
