LifePoint Hospitals Complete Acquisition of Sumner Regional Health Systems for $156.8M

LifePoint Hospitals has finalized its acquisition of Gallatin, Tenn.,-based Sumner Regional Health Systems for the cash price of $156.8 million, according to a press release by SRHS legal representation Proskauer.

Sumner Regional Heath Systems is the predominant healthcare provider for an 11-county region in north-central Tennessee. Legal representatives from Proskauer are confident the transaction with LifePoint will sustain and enhance the quality of patient care in the communities served, according to the report.

LifePoint Hospitals operates 48 hospital campuses in 17 states.
