The terms of the agreement were not disclosed, but as part of the acquisition, Woods will partner with Athens (Ga.) Regional Medical Center, another LifePoint Hospital just 12 miles away. The two hospitals will operate as part of common system. John Workman, CEO of Athens Regional, will serve as CEO of the two-hospital system.
