Licking Memorial has not specified how many affected workers it has offered jobs to, according to the report. The Medical Center of Newark will close its facilities Dec. 31 as part of its sale to Licking Memorial. The former campus is expected to be used for outpatient services, according to the report.
A notice from the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services said employees will be terminated between Jan. 29 and Feb. 7, although there is a possibility that no employees will report to the hospital for work after the shutdown on Monday, according to the report.
