In April, Lancaster General and UPHS announced they were partnering to align their systems’ interests and collaborate on ways to improve patient health. The two organizations are now looking into a consolidated relationship to improve access to care, improve quality of care, and to strengthen their teaching and clinical research missions.
“We will continue to explore further integration in specialties such as oncology, trauma, cardiovascular care, genetics, neurosciences and other areas, including graduate medical education,” said Thomas E. Beeman, president and CEO of Lancaster General.
The organizations haven’t developed a strict timeline to explore further integration.
