Hopkinsville, Ky.-based Jennie Stuart Health has acquired six physician practices and clinics, adding to its growing provider network.
The acquisitions include Generations Primary Care, MDVIP, Hopkinsville Family Care, Western Kentucky Pulmonary Clinic, Elkton Clinic and Crofton Clinic, according to a June 19 news release. The practices will continue operating from their current locations, and patients will continue seeing the same providers and staff, according to Jennie Stuart. MDVIP will maintain its concierge care model.
“Bringing these clinics into Jennie Stuart Health allows us to strengthen access to care, better connect services across our network and ensure patients continue receiving the personalized care they deserve,” Jennie Stuart Health Chief Administrative Officer Eric Lee said.
The acquisitions come about eight months after Jennie Stuart Health joined Evansville, Ind.-based Deaconess Health System, which is investing at least $95 million into the 194-bed hospital and will fund Jennie Stuart’s transition to the Epic EHR platform.
Deaconess Health now owns, operates or is affiliated with 20 hospitals across Indiana, Illinois and Kentucky, according to its website.
