The administration previously planned to release a proposed overhaul to the state’s Medicaid program by the end of this month. However, it will now await new revenue projections expected after Nov. 4, according to the report.
Last month, Kansas Lt. Gov. Jeff Colyer, MD, who is leading the administration’s efforts, said the state’s Medicaid program could be in dire straights unless reforms drive down costs. He recently added that provider cuts are a “last resort,” according to the report.
