UC Regents to Review UCSF Medical Center, Children’s Hospital Oakland Affiliation

The Regents of the University of California may review the proposed affiliation agreement between San Francisco-based UCSF Medical Center and Children’s Hospital & Research Center Oakland (Calif.) Jan. 16, according to a San Francisco Business Times report.

The hospitals signed a letter of intent in November after discussing a potential affiliation since June of 2012.

Approval from the Regents of the University of California is a necessary step for the affiliation. Children’s Oakland’s board of directors will also need to approve the agreement.
