Westview, which is affiliated with Marian University’s College of Osteopathic Medicine, approached several health systems about a relationship over the summer.

The deal is intended to expand clinical opportunities for Marian students and help Westview recruit new physicians. The specific structure of the arrangement is still being finalized, and Westview CEO Jon Anderson would not say whether it included a merger, according to the report.

The two groups plan to sign a letter of intent within the next six weeks.
