Lebanon, Ind.-based Witham Health Services signed an affiliation agreement Sept. 16 with Fort Wayne, Ind.-based Parkview Health to join the system, according to a news release.
The news comes after the parties signed a nonbinding letter of intent in mid-April.
Under the agreement, Witham Health and Parkview would expand services, enhance clinical capabilities and work to improve healthcare access for patients in and around Boone County, Ind.
“By joining Parkview, we will expand our reach, strengthen our ability to improve the health of our community, and bring even more advanced care closer to home,” Kelly Braverman, President and CEO of Witham Health Services, said in the release.
The affiliation agreement is subject to closing conditions, including a regulatory review that is expected to take at least 90 days. The organizations anticipate finalizing their affiliation in January, the release said.
