Delnor and CDH filed a permit request to merge in January. Hospital officials expect the final approval by the hospitals’ boards of directors this week, which would allow the merger process at the administrative level to begin by April 1, according to the report.

Under the merger, Delnor and CDH would have equal representation on the new board of directors and CDH CEO Luke McGuinness would serve as CEO.

The hospitals announced the intention to merge last year.
