The $10.9 million administrative facility, which is being dubbed a “ministry service center,” is expected to bring 500 jobs to Indianapolis, according to the report. The center is expected to open by next summer.
Indianapolis beat out several other locations Ascension was considering. The city’s Economic Development Corp. will give the health system $5 million in job tax credits and $90,000 in job training grants as well as an infrastructure support grant of up to $300,000, according to the report.
Ascension operates St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.
