Officials said the goal of the affiliation is to offer more eastern Kentucky patients access to additional specialty and subspecialty care services, as well as the opportunity to participate in clinical trials near their homes.
The financial terms of the transaction, if any, were not disclosed.
The UK Markey Cancer Center affiliate program began in 2006 and includes 17 hospitals across Kentucky.
