The hospital will build a new, 28,000-square-foot building that will house an emergency department on the bottom half with the upper half reserved for future growth. The new ED will be twice the size of the current facility, which will increase the hospital’s capacity and improve patient flow and privacy. The new ED will include more space for triage and a secure area for mental health patients.
The hospital now needs approval from the town to begin construction.
