HCA to Purchase Capella’s Grandview Medical Center

Nashville, Tenn.-based Hospital Corporation of America has signed a definitive agreement with Capella Healthcare in Franklin, Tenn., to acquire Grandview Medical Center in Jasper, Tenn.

Under the agreement, Brentwood, Tenn.-based TriStar Health — a division of HCA — will buy the 70-bed hospital, according to a news release. The hospital will become part of TriStar’s Parkridge Health System in Chattanooga, Tenn. Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.

The transition is subject to regulatory approvals and is expected to be completed in the first quarter of this year, according to the release.
