The deal includes 19 FastMed and 22 MedPost urgent care centers in several of Texas’ major cities, including Dallas and Austin. Currently, HCA operates 268 urgent care clinics nationwide. The deal is expected to close this summer and terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
The addition of the urgent care locations “will provide convenient outpatient care options when and where they need it” and “help seamlessly connect these patients to our broader healthcare network when a higher level of care or specialty service is needed,” said Erol Akdamar, president of HCA’s American Group.
FastMed operates nearly 200 urgent care clinics across five states. It acquired MedPost and CareSpot in 2021.
