HCA to acquire Texas hospital from CHS

Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA Healthcare entered into an agreement to purchase 103-bed Weatherford (Texas) Regional Medical Center from subsidiaries of Franklin, Tenn.-based Community Health Systems.

Once the deal is finalized, Weatherford Regional will become apart of Medical City Healthcare in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex.

The transaction is subject to regulatory approval. Officials expect to close the transaction by fall 2017.

Medical City Healthcare was previously branded as HCA North Texas, a 13-hospital system in Irving, Texas.
