HCA announced Sept. 1 that it had completed the acquisition. Medical Properties Trust, a real estate investment trust, released the sale price Sept. 6. MPT said the $148 million sale resulted in an approximate $100 million gain for MPT.
“We are very pleased to be expanding our care in Northwest Houston,” Troy Villarreal, HCA’s Gulf Coast Division president, said in a press release. “Over the coming months, we will work closely with the hospital’s medical staff, employees and the community to explore ways to enhance services and expand access to specialized healthcare throughout the area.”
North Cypress is HCA’s 53rd hospital in Texas and one of many HCA hospitals in the Houston area.
