Indian River Medical Center received takeover bids from eight healthcare organizations, with HCA placing the highest bid of $415 million.

On Friday, the boards announced HCA, Orlando (Fla.) Health, Cleveland Clinic and Adventist Health System in Altamonte Springs, Fla., would have the opportunity to submit more in-depth proposals for the hospital in January, according to TCPalm.

Of the finalists, Cleveland Clinic was the only organization to receive unanimous support from the Indian River County Hospital District trustees.

The boards plan to make their final selection in late January or early February.
