Harrison Community Hospital in talks to be acquired by Wheeling Hospital

Cadiz, Ohio-based Harrison Community Hospital is negotiating a potential acquisition agreement with Wheeling (W.Va.) Hospital, according to The Times Leader.

Officials said the potential acquisition would prove beneficial for Harrison County, allowing residents in the community access to medical resources and services not offered by the local hospital.

The financial terms of the proposed agreement have not been disclosed. The agreement is still pending regulatory approval.

“We are excited about the potential for enhancing healthcare in Harrison County and the surrounding area,” said Gregg Warren, vice president of marketing and public relations for Wheeling Hospital.
