Effective Oct. 1, Boscobel will become part of the Gundersen system as Gundersen Boscobel Area Hospital and Clinics.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Boscobel, a 25-bed critical access hospital roughly 65 miles south of Gundersen’s headquarters, has been in a management agreement with Gundersen since 2012.

Boscobel will be the fourth member hospital within Gundersen. The others are Gundersen St. Joseph’s Hospital and Clinics in Hillsboro, Wis., Gundersen Tri-County Hospital and Clinics in Whitehall, Wis., and Palmer Lutheran Health Center in West Union, Iowa — all of which are CAHs.
