Genesis Healthcare officials said the partnership will allow patients in the UNM Health System to access Genesis locations in the state and aims to streamline patients’ admission process to UNM facilities.

The agreement also includes the opening of a 26-bed behavioral health unit at the St. John Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, also in Albuquerque, later this year. UNM physicians will provide psychiatric services to patients at the facility.
