Pennsylvania’s Commonwealth Medical, University of Scranton Discuss Affiliation

The Commonwealth Medical College in Scranton, Pa., and the University of Scranton (Pa.) are continuing discussions about a possible affiliation, according a joint statement by the organizations.

According to the statement, an affiliation could benefit not only the Medical College and the University but also their respective institutions as well as the Scranton community. TCMC has relationships with medical organizations throughout the region, including the Regional Hospital of Scranton and the Community Medical Center in Scranton.

TCMC and the University will continue discussions during an evaluation period set to end March 31.
