Estes Park (Colo.) Health has taken the next step to join UCHealth.
On May 15, Park Hospital District, which operates Estes Park Health, approved a resolution to partner with the Aurora, Colo.-based health system, according to a news release from epnews.com.
“I want to thank the community of the Estes Valley and the staff and providers of Estes Park Health for their trust throughout this process,” David Batey, chairman of the PHD board of directors, said in the release. “We took your overwhelmingly positive support from the vote in 2023 to pursue a partnership with another nonprofit hospital, and we found a great fit with UCHealth.”
Park Hospital District and UCHealth signed a letter of intent in October for EPH to join UCHealth after Park Hospital District voters in 2023 authorized the district to join a health system.
Both organizations expect the partnership to be completed in late 2025, pending review by the Colorado Attorney General.
