Ephrata Community Hospital May Join WellSpan Health

WellSpan Health in York, Pa., and Ephrata (Pa.) Community Hospital approved a memorandum of understanding for Ephrata to join WellSpan, according to a York Daily Record report.

Discussions between the two organizations began this spring. Board leaders and senior management will continue to explore the details of the potential affiliation, according to the report.

If the deal is approved and Ephrata Community Hospital joins WellSpan, it will become the health system’s first care delivery center in Lancaster County, according to the report.
