NEA’s providers manage more than 170,000 emergency department visits across Atlanta-based Northside Hospital Healthcare System’s three acute care hospitals.
“Our group has a long and successful track record of growing with our health system partner by providing excellent patient care in our growing communities,” Larry Brannam, MD, NEA president, said in a statement. “We are encouraged to be joining Envision Physician Services at this time and providing patient care as part of a larger, more comprehensive organization that can more effectively respond to emerging reimbursement models.”
Envision Physician Services includes more than 23,000 providers across the country. It was formed by the merger of EmCare, Amsurg Corp., and Sheridan Healthcare’s physician services divisions. The multispecialty physician group also recently acquired Gwinnett Emergency Specialists, a 70-member emergency medicine physician group practice in Lawrenceville, Ga.
