Ely-Bloomenson Community Hospital to Pursue Partnership

Ely (Minn.)-Bloomenson Community Hospital is considering a partnership with a larger hospital or health system, according to a Duluth News Tribune report.

The hospital recorded $1.2 million in profit for fiscal year 2011, but executives intend to pursue a partnership for greater strength in the market, according to the report. Potential partners could include Essentia Health based in Duluth, Minn., which the hospital has previously discussed a partnership with.
