Dodge City Medical Center partners with Centura Health Physician Group

Englewood, Colo.-based Centura Health Physician Group acquired Dodge City (Kan.) Medical Center in an effort to recruit more specialty physicians to the area, according to the Dodge City Daily Globe.

Under the merger agreement, physicians from Garden City, Kan.-based St. Catherine Hospital ─ a Centura Health affiliated hospital ─ will provide specialty services at DCMC.

Discussions between the two organizations regarding a potential partnership began in July 2015. Officials said the transition will take approximately a year to complete.
