Decatur County General Hospital, NorthCrest Medical Center affiliation approved

The Decatur County commission approved the proposed partnership between Parsons, Tenn.-based Decatur County General Hospital and Springfield, Tenn.-based NorthCrest Medical Center, according to the Jackson Sun.

DecaturCounty officials unanimously approved the partnership in a vote held on Sept. 26. DCGH board members recommended the partnership as solution to the hospital’s financial troubles.

Under terms of the proposed agreement, NorthCrest will have a management-level staffing arrangement with DCGH, according to the article.

DCGH selected NorthCrest out of three possible partners, including Jackson-based West Tennessee Healthcare and Plano, Texas-based Community Hospital Corporation.
