New collaboration will strengthen home medical equipment operations and support Carefluent Connect’s mission to enhance the patient experience
Nashville, TN (July 1, 2025) – DASCO Home Medical Equipment and Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) have formed a joint venture to operate Carefluent Connect, VUMC’s durable medical equipment company. The partnership brings DASCO’s proven operational expertise to help fulfill Carefluent Connect’s mission of delivering a seamless, patient-centered DME experience across Middle Tennessee.
Originally created by VUMC to close gaps in the discharge and home equipment process, Carefluent Connect was built to serve both patients and care teams with a higher standard of service, access, and efficiency. Working with RBC Capital Markets, VUMC sought out a partnership that would allow Carefluent Connect to scale its impact and better serve patients during their transition from hospital to home. Through this new joint venture, DASCO will lead day-to-day operations as the managing partner.
“Carefluent Connect was designed to improve the way patients receive equipment and support beyond the hospital,” said Teresa Dail, emeritus President of Carefluent Connect. “This joint venture with DASCO brings the operational depth and experience we need to grow, improve access, and fully realize that vision.”
The joint venture will focus on providing respiratory equipment like oxygen therapy, non-invasive ventilation, and CPAP machines, along with mobility aids, and other durable medical equipment. The JV will continue to provide a patient and provider focused solution with the continued goal of meeting the patient where their needs are in the effort to improve outcomes for both Vanderbilt patients and the broader community.
“We are honored to join forces with Vanderbilt through this joint venture,” said Jason Seeley, President of DASCO. “By managing Carefluent Connect, we’ll be able to apply our experience to strengthen operations and help more patients receive the care and equipment they need to thrive at home.”
