Cottage Health System to Acquire Sansum Clinic, Medical Foundation

Santa Barbara, Calif.-based Cottage Health System announced it has signed a letter of intent to integrate outpatient surgery network Sansum Clinic, also based in Santa Barbara, into its organization.

The transaction would bring Sansum’s 23 ambulatory facilities into Cottage’s three-hospital umbrella and make Sansum the medical foundation to Cottage, according to a news release.

Due diligence is expected to be complete by Oct. 1. Financial details were not disclosed.
