Comprehensive Pharmacy Services acquires PharmaSource: 3 things to know

Pharmacy solutions provider Comprehensive Pharmacy Services has added to its offerings with the acquisition of PharmaSource.

Here are three things to know.

1. PharmaSource, the pharmacy management division of Cincinnati-based Omnicare, provides pharmacy management services for acute care, rehabilitation, long-term acute care, behavioral, pediatric, surgical, heart and specialty hospitals, according to a news release.

2. With the acquisition, CPS said it adds pediatric hospital support, along with other areas, to its offerings.

3. Scott Barham, RPh, regional director of operations for PharmaSource, is among the majority of the pharmacy management division’s employees who will join the CPS specialty hospital unit, the release states.
