Cleveland Clinic renames 4 hospitals

Cleveland Clinic unveiled new names for four Florida hospitals it acquired Jan. 1.

Indian River Medical Center in Vero Beach, which Cleveland Clinic agreed to invest $250 million in over the next 10 years, is now named Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital.

Cleveland Clinic renamed Martin Health System, a three-hospital system in Stuart, Cleveland Clinic Martin Health. Martin Health's three hospitals were also rebranded to include the Cleveland Clinic name.

"These are well-respected hospitals that have a long history of taking great care of their communities. We are very proud they are now part of Cleveland Clinic's health system," Tom Mihaljevic, MD, president and CEO of Cleveland Clinic, said at a Jan. 9 event celebrating the addition of the hospitals. "As healthcare continues to evolve, this integration will strengthen our ability to deliver on our mission and provide the best care to our patients together."
