The collaboration will give KDMC access to expert protocols, research and outcomes analysis to enhance its heart program. The affiliation will also provide the hospital with continuing medical education programs, direct access for consultations/referrals, and benchmarking against the Clinic and other affiliates, among other benefits.

“We already have excellent surgeons, cardiologists and nurses who have developed the region’s leading cardiac program here at King’s Daughters,” said Kristie Whitlatch, the hospital’s president and CEO. “Affiliating with Cleveland Clinic’s world-renowned program and clinical specialists will allow us to advance our program to a level typically found at only a handful of facilities around the world.”
