CHS along with Plano, Texas-based LHP Hospital Group; Brentwood, Tenn.-based Brim Healthcare; and University Health Systems of Eastern Carolina, all offered bids for the health system.

Details of the proposals were not released and could include either the purchase of the health system or just the management of its facilities, according to the report.

Beaufort Regional announced in July it was seeking partners. The health system’s board is expected to begin reviewing a report on the bids from the system’s valuation firm within the next two weeks.
