During an Access Health board meeting Thursday, James Wadleigh said he is worried insurers like Indianapolis-based Anthem and Farmington, Conn.-based ConnectiCare will leave the exchange, affecting more than 100,000 consumers.
Mr. Wadleigh said his anxiety stems from uncertainty regarding the ACA and the future of its cost-sharing reductions, which help insurers subsidize coverage for low- and medium-income individuals.
Mr. Wadleigh said he has met with representatives from Anthem and ConnectiCare during the past month. Insurers are required to submit rates for 2018 coverage to the Connecticut Insurance Department by May 1, according to The CT Mirror.
